MEP Quantity Takeoff Services
Pipe, fittings, heads and duct counted by size, straight from the model or the contract drawings. Our MEP quantity takeoff services give estimators and procurement teams clean Excel lists they can price from.
Counts you can price from
Estimating and buying both start with a good count. Our MEP quantity takeoff services give you pipe, fittings, heads and duct, organized by system and size, in Excel lists ready for pricing and procurement.
Because we model buildings for a living, we know which items get missed on a manual takeoff: the offsets, the reducers, the hangers, the pieces between the riser and the branch.
Two ways to take off
- From the model: when we have built or coordinated the Revit model, quantities come directly from the same elements that make up the drawings
- From contract drawings: when there is no model, we count straight from the PDF or DWG set
Tell us which fits your stage. Early bids often need the drawings route. Buyout works best from a coordinated model.
What gets counted
- Pipe by system, material and size
- Fittings by type and size
- Sprinkler heads by type
- Ductwork by size, with fittings
- Valves, equipment and other items you specify
Lists are grouped the way you buy: by system, floor or area, whichever helps.
Tied to the drawings
A list is only useful if you can trust it. We keep quantities linked to the model or marked-up drawings, so you can trace a number back to where it came from. When the design changes, we can update the list instead of starting over. Takeoffs also line up with our shop drawings and fire sprinkler shop drawings.
Who uses it
General contractors use our lists for budget checks and buyout. MEP trade contractors use them for estimating and ordering material. We deliver Excel files, with PDF markups when you want to see what was counted. We work in New York City, Long Island and New Jersey, and remotely across the US.
Questions
Can you take off quantities from contract drawings?
Yes. We can count straight from the contract drawings, or from the model when one exists.
What do you deliver?
Excel lists organized by system and size, with PDF markups available.
What do you count?
Pipe, fittings, sprinkler heads and duct by size, plus other items you ask for.
Can the list be updated when the design changes?
Yes. Because it is tied to the model or markups, we can update it instead of restarting.
Send us your drawings.
We will show you the risks first.
Upload a few sheets or paste a link to the full set (Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, BuildingConnected, Procore). It goes straight to our team.
